Thelma Jewell Alsman Reardon, 81, died October 8, 2021, in Danville, Kentucky. Born February 23, 1940, in Shelby City, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Linnie Lee Cox Alsman. Thelma was a short order cook at Begleys and Hecks. She was a lifetime member at Salvation Army and belonged to the VFW Women’s Auxiliary, League of Mercy, and Home League. She is predeceased by her husband, Lemaul Carroll Reardon Sr; sisters, Mary Naylor, Fredia Durham and Geneva Dagley; brothers, Howard Alsman and Fred Alsman; and two great-great grandchildren, Tamariya and Paisleigh.
Thelma is survived by her two daughters, Debbie (T.G.) Fulz and Vickie Johnson; four sons, Lemaul (Amy) Carroll Reardon Jr, Marion “Joe” (Carol) Reardon, Jeffrey (Melissa) Reardon, and Manual Reardon; sisters, Leona Guinn, and Linda Sue Alsman; foster children, Donna Erwin, Rhonda Penman, Randall Foley, and Anthony Gaines; twelve grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.
Public visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm, Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Funeral service will be 10 am, Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Rev. Jeff Finley will officiate. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Ambers Wilkinson Jr., Joey Reardon, Corey Beasley, Chris Clark, Jeremy Dockery, Mitzi Reardon, Jarrod Reardon, and Gerald Wethington. Honorary pallbearers will be James Dockery, Toleman G. Fulz, Wayne Perry, George Beasley, Xavier Dockery, Willie Clark, and all other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Masks will be required.
