Jeanette Micheale Carey “Shelly” Wilson, 53, died Thursday, April 23, 2020 at the UK Medical Center. Born in Evansville Indiana on September 8, 1966, she is the daughter of John R. “PeeWee” and Deb Becker Carey. Shelly attended the Boyle County Schools and always insisted on holding a job even when she was told she was too sick to work. She loved to swim, take care of her pets and all animals and just loved being around her family. She was predeceased by her uncle, Edward Charles Becker Jr., and her grandparents, Edward Charles and Jeanette Becker and JR and Lillie Mae Carey and cousins, Todd Tully and Lori Culley.

She is survived by her parents, PeeWee and Deb Carey of Danville; her brother, Victory Lee (Tonya) Girdler, Danville and two sisters, Michelle (Scott) Douglas of Taylorsville and Kim (Doug) Prater of Louisville; two step-grandchildren, Kayley Hughes and Kiley Hughes; seven nieces and nephews, Evan Girdler, Max Prater, Ryan Prater, Kate Prater, Lauren Polston, Sydney Polston and Kristin Douglas; her aunts, Janice (Steve) Tully of Danville and Melody Carey (James) Bloom of Stanford and uncles, David (Annell) Becker of Bowling Green and Arthur (Faye) Becker of Evansville and her former husband, Johnny Wilson of Junction City.

A private family service will be held with burial following in Bellevue Cemetery. A celebration for friends and family will be held at a later date.
