James John Ball, Jr., 60, of Danville, died Friday, September 15, 2023. He was born April 17, 1963, in Syracuse, New York to James and Nancy Ball, Sr. James had a funny sense of humor and enjoyed making everyone laugh. He would thoughtfully purchase birthday and holiday gifts ahead of time for those he knew. The Miami Hurricanes was his favorite team and he would cheer them on anytime they were playing. James was very mindful and would test his wealth of knowledge as he loved watching Jeopardy. James attended St. Andrews Catholic Church in Harrodsburg, Kentucky.

Surviving James are his parents James and Nancy Ball, Sr.; wife, Andrea R. Ball; stepdaughter, Patricia Preston; siblings, Kevin (Donna) Ball, Michael (Sherry) Ball, Tim (Tina) Ball and Mary Ellen (Mel) Stearns; grandson, Theodore Chiccino; mother-in-law, Mary Spalding; sister-in-law, Ann (Marshall) Williams; and nieces and nephews, Robin, Tim Ball Jr., Chris Ball, Elizabeth, Julia, Jennifer, John, Josh, Kevin Ball, Jr., Ashley Williams and Emily Williams.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Stith Funeral Home in Danville. The funeral service will follow at noon, with Father Edwin Netlas officiating.
