Iona Margaret Cox Caddell, 91, died Thursday, January 11, 2018. She was born in Boyle County, Kentucky on November 24, 1926 to the late Ollie Davis and Seney Josephine Rice Cox. On December 22, 1945 she married the love of her life, Glenn C. Caddell and they spent 72 years together as husband and wife. Iona graduated from Junction City High School in 1946 and was a lifelong member of Mt. Freeman Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and raised her children and grandchildren. Iona was a devoted mother, grandmother, and church member.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn Cecil Caddell; two sons, Mack David (Valorie) Caddell and John Cecil ( Karen) Caddell; five grandchildren, Sherry Lee Caddell, Glenn David (Jessica) Caddell, Jon Matthew (Nicole) Caddell, Savannah (Patrick) Gillespie and Dylan Kyle Caddell; seven great-grandchildren, Kayla Caddell (Timmy) Hamilton, Zachary David Asberry, Ian Gillespie, Eli Gillespie, Logan Jane Caddell, Trenton Caddell and Abigail Taylor; four great-great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Nevaeh, Heaven and Bryson.

The funeral service will be at 12:30pm, Friday, January 19, 2018 at Mt. Freeman Baptist Church. Rev. Brock, Rev. Barry Harmon and Rev. Brad King will officiate. Pallbearers will be Glenn David, Matthew, Dylan, Zach, Patrick Gillespie and Drew Nevius. Honorary pallbearers Sherry Caddell, JoAnna Cooper, Kristin Drury, Shannan Hooker, Cheryle Inesrataza and the Adult Men & Women Sunday School Class of Mt. Freeman. Interment will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation will be 11am-12:30pm, Friday at the church prior to the service. Memorial donations are suggested to Mt. Freeman Baptist Church or Heritage Hospice.
