Glen Dale Steinberger, of Johnson Branch Road, died Wednesday, November 3, 2021. Born July 1, 1943, he was the son of William and Lina Thomas Steinberger. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Fran Mattingly Steinberger. Glen worked at Corning Glass Co. and the Boyle County Road Dept. and was a member of Pleasant Run Baptist Church. He loved going to the Smoky Mountains and to church. His dog, Duke, attended church with him and had perfect attendance. Glen was an avid fan of old cars, especially street rods. He and Fran went to car shows often and they especially enjoyed cruising in his collectable cars and he was a past President of the Golden Rods Car Club.

Glen is survived by his aunt, Geraldine Steinberger; six cousins, Pam Phillips, Gary W. Phillips, Darrell Steinberger, Phyllis J. Middleton, Donna Ferrell, Emogene Pruitt and their families, Billy Love, Jackie Love, Sheri Johnson, Chris Ferrell, Meredith Ferrell, Dena Johnston, Kaylee Ferrell, Dustin Phillips, Robbie Phillips, Isabella Phillips, Hadley Phillips, Kristie Cochran, Aleta Worland and Amber Phillips; nieces and nephews: Rhonda Engler, Robbie Mattingly, Betty Shelden, Willie Mattingly, Frank Mattingly, Lynn Holsclaw, Debbie Hundley, Butch Mattingly Teenia Harper, Rinda Anderson, Laconda Goss, Mark Mattingly, David Mattingly, Jason Mattingly, Denny Mattingly, Danny Mattingly, Armond Mattingly, Robert Durr, Linda Butler, Dixie Durr, Roger Durr, Jerry Hyde, Dottie Hyde, Linda Hyde, Mary Hyde, Vickie Hyde; and his dog Duke.

The funeral service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. Rev. JR Fields and Rev. Donald Lear will officiate the service. Active pallbearers will be Dustin Phillips, Patrick Williams, Patrick Wilson, Billy Love, Bobby Wilson, Robbie Mattingly, Willie Mattingly, John Shelden, and David Miracle. Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Steinberger, Phil Daily, Robert Bragg, Archie Curtis, and Gary Phillips. Burial will follow at Parksville Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Memorial donations are suggested to Pleasant Run Baptist Church or The Danville – Boyle County Humane Society.
