Gary Shiell MacShara 74, died on December 30, 2022, in Danville, KY.  He was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 16, 1948, to the late Burt and Edith Shiell MacShara.

Gary was a Parts Manager for Glenn Buick.  He loved to travel, photography, music, his dogs, his cars, and the mountains.  But he mostly loved his son, Rees and his wife Jeannie. He enjoyed volunteering for Danville Boyle County Humane Society. 

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Jeannie MacShara, his son, Rees MacShara, and sisters, Sue (Frank) MacShara-Semelka, and Lin (Charles Ricketts) MacShara.

A Memorial Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Stith Funeral Home, Danville.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Happy Paws Spay and Neuter Clinic in Danville.
