Frederick James ‘Fred’ Steberl, 82, died Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 15, 1939 to the late Ernest and Viola Allen Steberl. Fred attended New Life Church and worked as a Machine Operator at Rexnord. He loved his family. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his siblings, Bob Steberl, Jesse Steberl, Billy Steberl, Johnny Steberl, Evirt Steberl, Mabel Steberl, Betty Kliner, Arlene Lawsage, and Mary Steberl; a step son, Wesley Cochran.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jane Cochran Steberl of Danville; children, James Dale Steberl (Sonya) of Danville, Theresa ‘Terri’ Lynn Vannatta of Indiana; sisters, Susan Brittain and Patty Gatton; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be 1 pm, Friday, March 18, 2022 at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Rev. Chuck Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
