Franklin Delano Sargent, 87, of Danville, died Tuesday, September 1st, 2020. Born July 28, 1933, he was the son of Erbin and Jennie Johnson Sargent. He was retired from Corning – Phillips Lighting where he was a furnace operator for 32 years. He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the American Legion. He was a member of Salt River Baptist Church. Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Sargent and 9 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include two daughters, Roxce ( Calvin) Carpenter of Perryville, Carolyn Snow of Moreland, three sons, Keith Sargent, Robbie (Peggy) Sargent and Kenny (Sissy) Sargent, all of Danville; a sister, Lucille Preston of Danville, twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Rev. Tim Mathis will officiate. Visitation will be 12 to 2 p.m., prior to the service. Interment will be at Bellevue Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Del Sargent, Andy Horton, Shawn Sargent, Ronnie Clarkson, Jamie Snow and Wyatt Turner. Honorary pallbearers will be his granddaughters.
