Carol Fay Hodges, 82, died June 6, 2021. Fay was born August 11, 1938, in Liberty, Kentucky to the late Otis Osbourne and Ollie Sarah Wilcher King. Fay worked as a dietician in healthcare. She loved cooking and wanted everyone fed and cared for, making sure that everyone who came through her doors felt loved and never left with an empty stomach. Fay was a dedicated member of Southern Heights Baptist Church. For the past ten years Fay dedicated her time to the church and Operation Christmas Child. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Henry ‘Tex’ Hodges; two sons, Steve Criswell, Luke Criswell; a twin brother, Ray King; three brothers, Vernon King, Earl King, Berl King; three sisters Lucille Pendegrass, Betty Evans, and Diane Burton.

She is survived by her son, David Criswell of Junction City; daughters, Kelly Black (J.B.) of Perryville and Heather Hodges of Orlando, FL; brothers, Windell King of Danville; sisters, Sue York, Jean Boynton, and Joanne Taylor, Sandy Brown all of Danville; ten grandchildren, Stacy Criswell, Tracy Criswell, Joseph Conley, Charlie Criswell, Angela Criswell, David Criswell Jr, Lindsey Criswell, Christopher Black, Casey Black, and Cierra Early-Spidell; and thirteen great-grandchildren; Isaak Turpin, David Sturgeon, Grayson Conley, Kevin Conley, Alexa Poland, Caela Criswell, Kingston Criswell, Kindrick Criswell, Gabriella Criswell, Isabell Soriano, Bubba Soriano, Nicolas Castillo, and Camilla Castillo and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be 1pm, Friday, June 11, 2021 at Stith Funeral Home in Danville. Rev. Danny Sallee will officiate. Pallbearers will be Joseph Conley, Charles Criswell, Christopher Black, J.B. Black, Scott Singleton, and Matthew Singleton. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation will be 11am – 1pm, prior to the service, Friday at Stith Funeral Home in Danville. Memorial donations are suggested to Operation Christmas Child c/o Southern Heights Baptist Church. Please sign the online guestbook and send a Hugs from Home.
