Elra Allen Shields, 59, of Stanford, died Friday, August 12, 2022.  Born October 6, 1962, in Lexington, Kentucky, he was the son of Gene and Barbara Moore Shields.  He worked in residential construction and enjoyed singing karaoke, playing cornhole and fishing. As we have been told, he always had to be first in line singing karaoke, and his go to song was “Signs” by The Five Man Electrical Band.  Allen has left the best legacy possible, behind on this earth – 8 kids, 5 granddaughters, 1 grandson, with another grandson expected to arrive in late September.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children; James (Shelby) Shields, Stephanie (Cody) Robinson, David (Breana) Shields, Sarah (Austin) Morris, Kelsey Carmicle-Shields, Issac Carmicle-Shields, Waylon Carmicle-Shields, and Katie Carmicle-Shields, grandchildren; Ellie Robinson, Abagail Morris, Zailey Shields, Olivia Shields, Charlee Robinson, Colton Shields, and Davis Shields; and siblings Becky (Chuck) Burrus, Frankie (Linet) Shields and Jodi (Billy) Noe.

A funeral will be held 1 pm Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City.  Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm prior to the service.  Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to the Future Farmers of America.
