Elaine Kaiser, 83, died on February 28, 2017. Born on October 16, 1933 in Dayton, Ky., she was predeceased by her mother, Adelaide Shroder, her father, Arthur M. Schroder and is survived by her brother, Arthur Schroder of Florida, her husband, Jack Nelson Kaiser of Danville, children, Allison Rene Kaiser of Lexington and John Nelson Kaiser of Danville and grandchildren, Zachary Howard Eichner and Katherine Marie Kaiser.

Family was everything to Elaine. She was the matriarch that kept a sprawling family connected through love and celebration across decades, continents and states. Being part of a very active and creative family, Elaine was an extraordinary culinary artist, taking her family on adventures through the cuisine of every country and culture. Elaine was known for her quick warm wit and ready smile and embrace.

Elaine was a member of the First Christian Church and the Homemakers Club, Danville. She also served as church secretary through the 70s after which she served as office manager for the Danville School of Practical Nursing, retiring from the State of Kentucky in the early 90s. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., Saturday at Stith Funeral Home, Danville, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Mickey Anders will officiate. Entombment will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to UK Art-in-Healthcare gifts fund or First Christian Church of Danville.
