Deloris Ross Tarkington, 85, of Danville, Kentucky, died June 15, 2023. She was born August 6, 1937, in Lincoln County, to the late George and Lenora Bastin Ross. Deloris is predeceased by her husband, Horace Tarkington and brother, Donald G. Ross.

Deloris was an employee of Genesco for many years then became a cashier for Kroger where she retired after 20 years. She was a canner and had many entries in the fair gaining several blue ribbons. She loved to travel with her husband. Deloris attended and loved Parksville Christian Church.

Survivors include her son, David (Robyn) Tarkington of Alum Springs, KY; daughters, Cathy Lenora (Eddie) Martin of Junction City, KY, Coral (Mickey) Bower of Spartanburg, SC; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be Monday 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Monday, June 19, 2023, at Parksville Christian Church. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. following the visitation with Brother Frank Preston officiating.

Burial will be at Parksville Cemetery.

Memorial donations are suggested to Parksville Christian Church Youth Group.
