Deborah “Debbie” Lee Givens Cheston, 70, died June 3, 2023 in Danville, Kentucky. She was born May 17, 1953, to the late J.W. and Ruth Givens.

Debbie lived in Florida before moving to Kentucky, where she was known in the horse industry. She was a Lifetime member of the American Quarter Horse Association and was an exhibitor as well as a breeder of quality show horses. Debbie also rescued Thoroughbred horses who had retired from racing without a future.
She was a longtime breeder of Australian Shepherd dogs. The breed she loved most later in life was the Doberman.
She is survived by her best loyal Dobie friend, Lizzie, many friends in the Horse/Equine industry, and a sister in Washington State.
Debbie lived for horses and dogs. They were her passion.

Her friends contributed to carrying out her final wishes to be cremated and have her ashes spread on a beloved horse farm.
