Debora Kay Bowman Engle, 64, died Monday, May 29, 2023, in Junction City, Kentucky. She was born on June 18, 1958, to Mary Elizabeth Naylor Bowman and the late Edgar Paul Bowman.

Debora attended Boyle County High School and was a graduate from Eastern Kentucky University where she earned her degree as a registered nurse. Debora was a nurse at Stanford Health and Rehabilitation. Debora enjoyed flowers, gardening, spending time with friends and family and taking care of people. She attended Pleasant Run Baptist Church.

Along with her mother, surviving Debora is her husband, Bill Engle; son, Jeffery (Kaylah) Johnson; brother, Paul (Debbie) Bowman; sister, Rita Fifer; grandchildren, Makaylee (David) Honaker, Brandon Johnson, Sierrah (Cruz) Hasty, Landon Johnson, MaKennah Johnson, and Stori Johnson; great-grandchildren Miah Honaker, Madelynn Johnson, Emerie Johnson, Kyren Honaker, and Sawyer Honaker.

The funeral service will be 1 p.m., Friday, June 2, 2023, at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City with Rev. J.R. Fields officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeff Johnson, Brandon Johnson, David Honaker, Cruz Hasty, Jessie Fifer, and Dwayne Shepard. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Thompson, Alan Finley, and Rod Satterly. Visitation will be 4 – 7 p.m., Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. The burial will be in Junction City Cemetery.
