David Andrew ‘Sonny’ Cooper, 41, died Tuesday, March 14, 2017. He was born October 5, 1975 in Livingston, Tennessee. Sonny was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and attended Jessamine County High School. He was a drywall finisher at Quality Drywall. Sonny loved model cars, collecting comic books, and working on cars. He was positive in everything he did and he would say, “Let’s Go Out and Be Famous” as he began his workday.

He is survived by his parents, David and Lynn Cooper, he is survived by a son, Justin Thomas Cooper of Nicholasville, KY, three daughters, Devyn Alayna Cooper of Garrard County, KY, Kaili Sierra Cooper of Garrard County, KY, and Annabelle “Bear” Cooper of Berea, KY, four brothers, Samuel James (Aimee Jo Conley) Cooper of Berea, KY, Jody Ray Cooper of Danville, KY, Aaron (Christy) Cooper of Brodhead, KY, and Jessie Lowhorn of Tennessee; a sister, Carrie Irene Barnwell of Cookeville, Tennessee, and three nieces, Emiley Mae Carrie Cooper, Amber Irene Barnwell, Sylvia Adrianne Laws.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Waterworks Road, Danville. James Bradshaw and Mike Ison will officiate. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be James Cooper, Jody Cooper, Aaron Cooper, Mike Cooper, Kenny Cooper, Justin Cooper, James Ray Mink, Joey Reed. Visitation will be Sunday after 4 p.m. at Stith Funeral Home in Danville.
