Darrell Corey Davis, 63, passed away on November 25, 2021, in Danville, Kentucky. Born February 25, 1958, in Bainbridge, Maryland, to Martha Davis and the late Morris Davis. Darrell will be remembered as a loving husband and father whose goal in life was to teach others about Jesus and further the Kingdom of God. He was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Cattleman’s Association and served as a deacon in his church while holding various positions at Calvary Baptist Church. He loved to go camping and going on vacation with his family. His greatest joys were playing games with his family. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and teaching others these activities. He enjoyed woodworking and farming. He followed UK sports and Cincinnati Reds Baseball. Darrell was passionate about mentoring each person he came in contact with.

Darrell is survived by his wife Susan Davis; his children Tara (Doug) Baker, Tyler (Ann) Hixenbaugh, Jessica (Travis) Williams, Corey Davis, Kalyn Davis, Shane Boyd, and Patricia Boyd: ten grandchildren Kenadie, Ella, Dawson, Bella, Morgan, Kelby, Holton Turner, Savannah and Weston; one brother Randy Davis; and two sisters Connie Habel and Brenda Davis.

Visitation will be 4pm to 7 pm Tuesday November 30, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church. Funeral Service will be 11 am Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church. Service will be officiated by Reverend Brent Rowe. Honorary pallbearers will be Vaughn Wilson, Bruce Robbins, Frank England, Wayne Ray, Eddie Simpson, Tim Stec, Gary Chidester, Mike Olsen, Darrell Lucas, and Tad Everett. Memorial donations are suggested to Cultivate Building Program with Calvary Baptist church.
