Charlotte Goode Young, 80, of Danville, died Tuesday, January 3, 2017. Born May 24, 1936, she was the daughter of Everett and Mary Fraser Reed Goode. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, flowers and gardening, quilting and caring for her family and friends. She was a member of 1st Baptist Church and attended Willow Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Young, and six brothers and sisters.

Survivors include a son, Britt (Lyda) Young, her daughters, Ann Young (Jason) Stevens, Margaret Young (Allen) Levi, and son John (Kelley) Young, a brother, Harold Goode, and a sister, Jane Goode Mitchell, grandchildren, Jay (Marianne) Young, Jessica Gatton (Will Rodes), Jared Stevens, Brandi Levi, Eleanor Levi, Andrew Crabtree, Jack Young, and Samantha Young, and great grandchildren, Thea Mae Young, Thomas Jay Young, Landon Gatton, Laykin Gatton, Traci Stevens and Payton Crabtree.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. prior to the service. Rev. Dale Denton will officiate. Interment will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to the Danville-Boyle County Humane Society and the Boyle County Public Library.
