Charles Raymond Hartmann, 66, of Morrow, Ohio, died Saturday, June 11, 2022.  Born in Buffalo, New York on February 11, 1956, he was the son of the late Raymond D. and Helen Elizabeth Mekeel Hartmann.  He graduated from Cardinal Spellman High School, Bronx, New York, where he was a strong athlete in both basketball and baseball.  Charley was a member of the Rivers Crossing Church, Kings Island Drive, Mason, Ohio.  He was an addiction counselor and was active in Alcoholics Anonymous and Celebrate Recovery in both Lexington, KY, and Cincinnati, OH. Charley was a great brother and uncle.

He is survived by sisters Mary Beth Hartmann of Fairless Hills, PA; Alice Hartmann (John) Davis, Danville, KY; and Kathleen Hartmann (William G. Smith) Wilmington, DE.; his fiancée Julie Propp Maguire of Maineville, OH, and her children, daughter Erin and sons Ryan, Brian, and Brandon; his nieces, Helen Davis Goetz, of Danville and Jessica Davis of Atlanta, and a great-niece, Elizabeth M. Goetz of Lexington.

The visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, June 16, at Rivers Crossing Church, Mason; a funeral service will follow there at 6 p.m. with Pastor Seth Kidwell officiating.  An internment service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 18 in Bellevue Cemetery, Danville, with Rev. Caroline Kelly officiating. Memorial donations are suggested to Celebrate Recovery, Rivers Crossing, 5937 Kings Island Road, Mason, OH or to a local humane society
