Charles Gilbert Carmickle, 89, died Tuesday, March 26, 2019. He was born in Burgin, Kentucky on August 19, 1929 to the late Charlie and Erma Merriman Carmickle.

Charles was a retired from Canteen in Lexington which was previously Servamation in Danville, he was a farmer and attended Lexington Avenue Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a sister Lucille Wilder, two brothers, Howard and J.W. Carmickle.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Carmickle of Danville; three sons, Barry Wayne (Arneda) Carmickle of Lexington, Jerry Ray (Diane) Carmickle of Elizabethtown, Ronnie Carmickle of Danville; a daughter, Karen Sue Johnston of Lexington; two grandchildren, Jason and Lindsay Carmickle.

The Graveside Service will be 2 p.m., Monday, April 1, 2019 at Bellevue Cemetery. Rev. Brad King will officiate. Visitation will be Noon – 2 p.m. at Stith Funeral Home. Memorial donations are suggested to Heritage Hospice. The online guestbook is available at www.stithcares.com.
