Carroll Frances Montgomery Myatt, 79, died Monday, Dec. 30, 2019. Born in Boyle County on November 5, 1940, she is the daughter of Charles Camel and Martha Irene Gaddis Montgomery. Carroll was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Faith. Carroll enjoyed listening to music and working puzzle books but she loved talking and visiting with friends and family the most. She was predeceased by her brothers, Ronnie Nevius, George Montgomery and Kenneth Montgomery, her sisters, Helen Rogers, Donna Springer and Brenda Boyd and two sons, Larry Francis Rice and Danny Ray Rice.

Carroll is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Renee and David Hammons of Junction City, two granddaughters, Angel and Amanda; five great-grandchildren; her friend and former husband, Howard C. Rice; her beloved nieces and nephews, and her friend, Martha Bowers.

The funeral service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. Visitation will begin at 12 p.m., prior to the service. Brother JR Fields will officiate. Burial will be in the Wilson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her nephews, David Hammons Jr, Clyde Hammons, C.J. Hammons, Jason Hammons, Blake Gregory, and Johnny Montgomery. Memorial donations are suggested to Heritage Hospice.
