Carl Wayne Reed, 80, died January 28,2021 in Danville. Born May 27, 1940 in Truman, Arkansas he was the son of the late Orville and Dessie Mink Reed. Carl is a United States Army Veteran of fourteen years and retired as a Staff Sargent after serving in Germany, Thailand, and Vietnam. He retired from RR Donnelley in 2009. Carl liked Nascar, Dale Earnhardt, football, and the Indianapolis Colts. He was predeceased by his wife of 28 years, Virgie C. Eaton and his brother, Richard Reed.

He is survived by his daughter, Ruby (Steve) Cline and son, Kerry Eaton; a brother, Tom (Kathy) Reed of Arizona and three sisters, Elsie Bucher, Betty Reed and Anita Schermer, all of Indiana; four granddaughters Bobbie (Gerard) Perkins, Emily Miser, Dreamia (Christian) Wiley, and Lynette (Tim) Gullett; two honorary grandchildren Melissa (John) Wilson and William (Sally) James; six great grandchildren Kaylan Perkins, Baylee Perkins, Baron Wiley, Daylyn Gullett, Tanner James and Taven Miser; also along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 12 pm to 2 pm, Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Stith Funeral Home Danville. Burial will be at Bellevue Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to the American Heart Association. The online guestbook and Hugs from Home program are available at www.stithcares.com
