Cameron Elton Johnson, 22, died Sunday, March 13, 2022 in Indiana. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on September 25, 1999 to Eddie Jasper Johnson and Christee Michelle Weinbach Johnson. Cameron was a senior at Ben Davis High School’s Thrive Program and was a member of the Unified Track Team. He attended Danville Deaf Baptist Mission Church. Cameron didn’t let his autism get in the way of his life. Cameron’s favorite thing to do was shop Amazon. He enjoyed drawing, going to stores, being outdoors, swimming, traveling and going different places, especially Gatlinburg Smokey Mountains. Cameron collected assortments of college and NFL flags, and tshirts with all different logos. He loved all sports, especially UK Basketball, Scooby Doo and Mickey Mouse. Cameron was loved so much by everyone. He is predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Eddie Johnson.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Sandy Johnson of Danville, Peggy Grace (Barry) of Belton, KY, Wes Weinbach (Rhonda) Richland City, IN; brother, Ethan Raymond Johnson of Danville; aunts, Sarita Kay Johnson of Jacksonville, Florida, Jessica Newcom (Eric) of Belton, Kentucky, Katie Morrison (Brandon) of Indianapolis, Indiana; uncles, Travis Grace (Stefani) of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Dave Johnson (Karla) of Concord, North Carolina; cousins, Dylan, Allyson and Matthew Johnson, Ashton and Emma Newcom, Naomi and Jonah Morrison, Sawyer Grace.
The funeral service will be 3pm, Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Rev. Jack Williamson will officiate. Visitation will be 11am – 3pm, prior to the service, Thursday.
