Bradley Hughes Cummins, 57, died Monday, February 25, 2019.  Brad was born in Boyle County on October 18, 1961 to the late Tom Frank and Maude Freeman Cummins.  Brad was a 1979 graduate of Boyle County High School.  He played baseball in high school and still holds pitching records in the sport.  He was the founder and co-owner of Cummins and Company.  Brad loved nature and being outdoors.  He enjoyed walking in the woods, camping and fishing.  He was an avid bird watcher and loved to teach his children and grandchildren the art of skipping rocks. Brad also loved and owned German Shepard dogs throughout his life.  In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Harold “Buddy” Cummins, James “Jimbo” Cummins, Leah Miller, Brenda Carroll, Dewey Cummins, Frank Cummins and Johnny Cummins.

He is survived by two sons, Bradley T. (Augustine) Cummins and Bryan K. Cummins, both of Danville; two daughters, Misty Cummins (Chris) Wilson and Savannah Tully-Cummins, both of Danville; four brothers, Ricky (Patricia) Cummins of McKinney, Mike Cummins of Lancaster, Cecil (Jo) Cummins of Lancaster, Timmy “Hop” (Emily) Cummins of Junction City; a sister Gayle (Hank) Potts of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Boone, Reese and Keene Wilson and Seraphina and Harlan Cummins.

Family and friends will gather at a reception to celebrate Brad’s life Saturday, March 2, 2019, from 11 to 2 p.m. at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City.  Please share your stories and pictures with the family.
