Bessie ‘Louise’ Scott Reynolds, 89, of Danville, died Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at her home. She was born in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky on June 5, 1928 to the late Oscar Harlan and Verna Cummins Scott. She was a retired school teacher, and had been employed by Rockcastle, Lincoln, and Danville School Districts. Louise attended First Baptist Church in Danville, where she was a Sunday School Teacher, and involved with the Women’s Mission group. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and gardening. Louise loved teaching and her students loved her. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Harold Reynolds; a brother, Nolan Scott; and a sister, Ruth Scott.

She is survived by a son, Dennis (Betsy) Reynolds of Somerset; two daughters, Pat (Vic) Boyd of Salvisa, Janet Estes of Danville; four sisters, Lucille Adams of Danville, Velda Herald of Ohio, Dorothy Thacker of Texas, Jenny Pruitt of Ohio; nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 1pm, Monday, November 6, 2017, at First Baptist Church, Danville. Rev. Tim Mathis and Rev. Darrell Hahn will officiate. Interment will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:30am-1pm, Monday, prior to service, at the church. Memorial donations are suggest to Hospice or Gideons.
