Barbara Lou Toy Woolum, 86, died July 19, 2021 in Danville, Kentucky. Born September 4, 1934 In Owingsville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Stella Horseman Toy. Barbara was a teacher at Boyle County High School for over thirty years and longtime member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church. She loved reading, working outside with her flowers and spending time with her dog Ellie, grandkids and great-grandkids. Barbara was a member of the Retired Teacher’s Association. She is predeceased by her brother, James Toy and granddaughter Emily Woolum.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, William Gillis Woolum; her daughter Kristi (Kendall) Ray; her son Randy (Cindi) Woolum; her grandchildren, Will Ray, Ben (Emily) Ray, and Amy Woolum; and her great-grandchildren, Grayson Ray, Nolan Ray, Emery Ray and Owen Ray.

Public visitation will be held from 11 – 1 pm, Friday, July 23, 2021 at Stith Funeral Home, Danville. Funeral service will be private. Rev Andy Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to the Danville – Boyle County Humane Society.
