Anita Blakey Lopez, 38, died Sunday, May 21, 2017 in Georgetown. She was born in Danville on August 28, 1977 to the late Michael and Nancy Lou Adams Blakey. Anita was a graduate of Lincoln County High School and formerly of Moreland.

She is survived by her husband, Marcos Lopez; a daughter, Katarina (Antonio) Guzman of Danville; a son, Mario Lopez of McCreary County; one brother, Michael Blakey Jr. of Lexington and three grandchildren, Juan Colunga, Katiana Colunga, and Antonio Guzman.

The funeral service will be at 1 pm, Friday, June 2, 2017 at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. Visitation will be after 4 pm, Thursday, June 1, 2017. Rev. Dale Denton will officiate. Active pallbearers will be Mario Lopez, Antonio Guzman, Eddie Griffith, Marco Wray, Bill Griffith, Alejandro Wray and as honorary pallbearer, Juan Colunga. Burial will be at Buffalo Springs Cemetery, Stanford. Memorial donations are suggested to be sent in care of Stith Funeral Home.
