Andrea “Panda” Martin, 69, died Monday, June 19, 2023. She was born in Danville, Kentucky on September 6, 1953, to the late Louis Edison and Willie Mae Trumbo Adams.

Panda loved church and was baptized on June 15, 2016. She attended Total Grace Church in Lexington, KY where she was an active member of the greeter’s ministry. She enjoyed working on jigsaw and crossword puzzles and loved the University of Kentucky basketball as well as the Miami Dolphins. Many would say that Panda was very outspoken and never met a stranger. Panda was a caregiver and spent most of her time caring for babies and the elderly. She was previously employed by Senior Companions. Panda is predeceased by her parents and children, Roberta Denise, Anna Marie and Anthony Rashaud.

Surviving Panda are her children, Chad Martin and Mae C. (Daryl) Smalley; brothers, Charles (Ann) Farley and Louis E. Adams Jr.; sister, Louisia Adams; special nephew, Jalen Daugherty; grandchildren, La Quaine` Martin, Justice (Karlin) Hale, Kayla Smalley; great-grandchildren, Syncere, Kalani, and Kash with one on the way as well as several nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Tuesday. June 27, 2023, at St. James AME Church. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Barry Bowman officiating.

The burial will take place at Hilldale Cemetery.
