Alice Emily Price Williams, 78, of Stanford, died Saturday, March 14, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Danville on April 24, 1941, she is the daughter of the late Maurice and Geneva Burns Oaks Price. Alice attended the Junction City schools and was a member of the Hedgeville Baptist Church. She was the backbone of the family and was dedicated to her husband and family. She loved her flowers, reading and bird watching, especially her hummingbirds. She enjoyed her book club and her doll collection which she has given to many of the special people in her life. She often enjoyed rearranging the furniture, eating out and shopping and made sure she included her family to enjoy these activities with her, and she always had a bag packed and ready to go. She was also well known for her love of cooking and was especially known for her chocolate pound cake which all her friends and family enjoyed.
Alice is survived by her husband, Landon Hoyt Williams; her children, Mitzi (Robert) Gilliam of Lancaster, Charlie (Erin) Williams of Jacksonville, Fla., Timmy (Crystal) Williams of Stanford and Johnny (Trixie) Williams of Stanford; her sisters, Marcelyn Carey of Danville and Margaret Hundley of Stanford; two sister in laws, Lois Taylor Marijane Yankey and Jolene Hutchinson; her grandchildren, Chuck Williams, Ben (Tori) Williams, Rece Williams, Emily Williams, Landon Williams, Cory Williams, Jacie (Nathaniel) Carman, Jared Williams, Jeremy (Evelyn) Gilliam, Travis (Tara) Gilliam and John Kevin (Megan) Williams; her great-grandchildren, Ethan Williams, Logan Williams, Gracelynn Williams, Henry Carman, Zeke Gilliam, Erica Gilliam, Aiden Gilliam, Aria Gilliam, Casey Strevels, Abby Strevels, Alexandria Williams and another on the way.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Stith Funeral Home, Danville. Pastor Jeremy Gilliam and Rev. Travis Farris will officiate.
