“Austin” Melborne Austin Williams III, 34, died March 31, 2021 in Danville. Born January 15, 1987 in Nashville, Tennessee, he is the son of Melborne Austin, Jr. and Anne Luck Williams. Austin attended Danville Schools before graduating from Lexington Catholic in 2005. He was a state champion swimmer, especially in butterfly. Austin was a member of the National Honor Society and received the DAR Award for Citizenship. He attended University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Austin loved his family and loved spending time with them. He was highly intelligent, quick witted, and had a great sense of humor. Austin enjoyed hiking, writing, reading, watching classic films, watching University of Tennessee football, and listening to music.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Melanie Williams (Vivek) Maheshwari, Deming Williams (Kyle) Schulberg; four brothers, William Reid Williams, John Patton (Rebekah) Williams, James Wright (Christina) Williams, David Clayton (Hampton) Williams; two uncles, William Hugh (Sharon) Luck, Jr., Thomas Benton (Allison) Luck; seven nieces and nephews , Sophia Elle Herreman, Marlena Anne Schieffer, Charles Maheshwari, John Patton Williams Jr., George Fitzgerald Williams, Hugh Garrett Schulberg, Alan Francis Schulberg; four cousins Betsy Creekmore, Mackenzie Luck, Taylor Luck, and Kevin Luck.
Funeral Service will be at 1pm, Monday, April 5, 2021 at Trinity Episcopal Church. Rev. Steve Hines will officiate. Pallbearers will be William Reid Williams, David Clayton Williams, John Patton Williams, James Wright Williams, Andrew Wyatt, and Dylan Hester. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation will be 11am – 1 pm, prior to the service, Monday at Trinity Episcopal Church. Memorial donations are suggested to the Boyle County Public Library and Danville-Boyle County Humane Society.
