Eddie was a wonderful person that you could always count on as a friend. He was so good with kids. Every time we talked my son (Jordan) and daughter (Delaney) wanted to get on the phone and say Hi to Eddie. I would hand my wife (Samantha) the phone and she would talk to Eddie about the kids and good places to vacation and eat. He will be missed by many and there are few people like him. The world would be a much better place if there were more people like Eddie Tamme.

I first met Eddie in elementary school, East End. He was a fun loving and genuinely nice guy. We ventured into Boyle County High School together and he remained the same genuine guy. After graduation we went our separate ways as many do but I was fortunate enough to run into downtown Danville from time to time or in the Court House. Same sweet guy with a truly genuine smile. He always made you feel like he was truly glad to see you. I have read the tributes on this guestbook and those on Facebook and can say Eddie truly left an impact on many people. What a wonderful tribute to a classmate and a professional in our community. He will be greatly missed.

Eddie was always fun loving and a smiling encourager. I\'ll remember how kind he was to my brother Lewis Goggin as he fought through the challenges of leukemia, always with a positive word. Eddie loved UK basketball, and could recall minute details of games over the years. Boyle County youth sports has lost a big supporter as well. Time will heal, and there will be many fond memories of the life of this man. Goodbye my friend - Walter Goggin

Eddie has the most infectious smile and genuine heart. He served the children he advocated for with heart and the families with respect. He had this unique way of seeing people’s value beyond their “property,” which I found so enlightening. He was never one to take a compliment but always willing to acknowledge others wins..big or small. CASA of the Bluegrass lost a great advocate and the world lost a great example of a good man! My prayers are with you Felicia and family!

Felicia, I still have a hard time believing that this is real. I wasn’t around Eddie much but I felt like I knew him from hearing you talk about him it was easy to see that he was the love of your life as you was his. My heart breaks for you. You, Derrick and all his family are surely in my prayers.

Words cannot express how saddened I am in Eddie passing. He was truly one of a kind and a selfless man who was always willing to lend an ear, help anyway he could, and be a great friend. I have known the Tamme family for many, many years and can say they are a family full of respect, honor, kindness, and love, and Eddie exhibited those attributes daily. He was definitely a mentor to me when I became a PVA in 2006 and I always respected the advice and help he offered. To Felicia and the Tamme family, I am truly sorry for your loss, but rest assured, we are guaranteed to see his smiling face again in Heaven some day.

Although only knowing Eddie since I became PVA in December 2006 it seems like I have known him all of my life. Eddie had a personality that was easy to gravitate to, and become friends with. His never changing composure, sense of humor and intellect made him a person easy to be around. He will certainly be missed not only by Felecia and his family, he will also be missed by his PVA family. Rest in peace, my friend. Felicia you and the family will be in our hearts and prayers.

Eddie was a great friend to me. He always had a smile on. I guess what I will remember most besides all of his and Darrell Bradley’s shenanigans is one of his text to me last fall after he found out something was wrong. He stated “ God has been good to me.” He was full of faith. Praying for all his family, especially Felicia.
