Dr. Wold was instrumental in saving the life of my husband (Rodney Hampton) in 1983 when he suffered a heatstroke. He had a temperature of 108.5° F. He stayed there through the night and brought him through the ordeal with no damage to his body from the experience. For that I will be eternally grateful for his skill and compassion.

Dr. Wold was my husband's doctor for many many years until we moved to Lexington in 1996 and had such great respect for Dr. Wold, besides a great doctor/patient friendship. A kindness I well remember was when my husband had yet another heart attack late at night and Dr. Wold stayed for hours until my husband was stabilized; then not having a way home in the middle of the night, Dr. Wold was kind to go out of his way to drive me to our house and waited until I was inside. Condolences to his family.

Sid, I always enjoyed our time spent with the many other Old Goats at the coffe club. So many laughs and happy memories to recall. Thank you for your military service to this great nation. Your service to our community as a practicing medical physician during your entire career, helped so many patients to wellness. Thank you for being a friend Sid.

Sid was my Dr for many years before I moved to Virginia. He was always very pleasant and never in a hurry when you had questions. I also enjoyed being around him on the golf course!
