I had the privilege of serving with Bill on the USS Comte de Grasse a lifetime ago. Although we hadn't seen each other in many years, I was grateful to be able to reconnect with him on Facebook. Bill was an outstanding sailor and was well liked and respected by all of us who knew him. I am so sorry for his loss. You are relieved Bill. We have the watch. Fair winds, shipmate

My deepest sympathies and condolences go out to Bill's family. The Bill I first knew was in our early 20s serving aboard a Navy Destroyer and even though we lost touch for 25 years, I am grateful we've connected and shared memories for the past decade. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. He will be missed.

I worked with Bill at Inspira. There was never a time when Bill passed me in the hall, came into Radiology or saw me in the cafeteria when he didn’t say hello or even ask how I was doing! He loved his job and took such pride in his work! He was truly a great guy and never went without a smile or pleasant conversation. I was sad when he was leaving but he made an appoint to say bye when it was his last day. He kept in touch briefly after moving and couldn’t wait til the family moved down. I was so happy for the opportunity he got with a new job in Kentucky. I am deeply saddened by the news of Bill’s passing! Please know I am truly praying for you all and wish that I could be there for his service! May God comfort you during this time and know that he truly touched the lives of people who knew him! God bless and I am so so very sorry for this loss!!!!!

I knew Bill since age 11 when I moved next to door him. He was always a wonderful caring person. My heart breaks for his family that he has been taken so early. I always remember the fun times we had growing up playing street hockey and manhunt. You will be missed my friend.

I am so sorry for the sudden loss of your terrific and devoted family man. I served with him in the Air National Guard and know the obituary is absolutely right - he would talk with anyone and he loved everyone, especially his family. My deepest condolences to all of you.
