My deepest condolences. Our family knew Skyler as one of the gaggle of kids in the Two Springs neighborhood. Because he was the same age as my boys, we attended the same soccer and baseball games—Skyler was THE star athlete. The kids floated from one house to the other in the neighborhood—built forts in the woods—haunted houses for Halloween—happy memories. Skyler was a good looking kid. Much to my kid’s dismay, all the girls had a crush on Skyler. But more than any of that, Skyler was a nice kid. To this day, my son says Skyler was one of the kindest people he ever met. Rest In Peace, dear Skyler. We will hold happy memories of you in our hearts. ❤️

There are no voices to torment you anymore! You are at peace with our loved ones that preceded you to Heaven, Daddy, Mamaw, Papaw, and your baby sister Katie. I’ll miss you until the day I’m reunited with you in Heaven. Love, Mom

Skyler, I miss you so much, you were a light in my life and not having you in it changes my whole world. I don't have the words to describe my feelings on how much my heart breaks without you but I know you are no longer tormented by the mental illness that is schizophrenia. You deserved a much better life that you had my brother, and I wish I could've saved you. I wish I could've been there more and done more for you, but it's never going to be enough is it bro? I feel so guilty but I know you are smiling down telling me to "shut up sis, you know you were always there for me." Just being cheerful, happy, loving Skyler. Just being you. You were my favorite person in this world not only because you were my big brother but because you were special, you were different that everyone else, and we had our own special way of communicating, when to everyone else it would sound like gibberish. I heard you Skyler, I listened to you, ever word, because to me every word was important - because it was coming from you. My big brother, my mentor, my hero. I love you so much bro. Love always and forever, Your lil sis

Ruth, I just want you to know that you, Tracy and all the family are in my prayers. I never met Skylar but I think his sister wrote a beautiful Obituary for him. I know the loss that Tracy and all of you are going through because of loosing my only child my son 15 months ago. I want you all to know that your in my prayers and even though we are all in different areas of the country the love we all share can never be separated by miles, you all will be in my thoughts and prayers in the coming days, months and forever because I can't say it ever gets better or at least for me it hasn't. Sending love, hugs and prayers, Vickie
