Stanley William Johnson, 70, died Thursday, May 17, 2018. He was born in Parksville, Ky. on November 13, 1947 to the late James W. and Vada Mae Simpson Johnson. Stanley attended Parksville and Junction City schools. He was a self-employed logger, junked cars and was a truck driver. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Leo Johnson and Sanders Johnson.

He is survived by his children, Bryan Johnson of Hustonville, Stanley (Crystal) McCarty of Harrodsburg,, Sabrina Johnson of Moreland and Daveida (Jon) Smith of Hustonville; five sisters, Clara ‘Cricket’ Lynn of Junction City, Brenda (Robert) Bowen and Linda (Jim) Clarkston both of Stanford, Barbara (Joe) Brown of Lincoln County, Janie Cox of Frankfort; two aunts, Nannie Cox and Elsie (Bob) Tamme; six grandchildren, Brandon and Kamden Johnson, Steven and Aaron McCarty, Kelsey (Tyler) McGuffey, Tanner Smith and one great-grandchild, Jay McGuffey.

The funeral service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Rev. Buford Edwards II will officiate. Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Isaih Preston, James ‘Jimmy’ Clarkston Jr., Allen Moore, Robert Bowen Jr., Dustin Miller, Shane Presley and Melvin Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be James ‘Jim’ Clarkston Sr., Donny Shannon, Jack Byrd and Billy Byrd. Visitation will be 12 p.m.- 2 p.m., Tuesday prior to the service.
